The program requires only 1-2 workouts per week.
I saw changes after a few workouts, and after 3 weeks,
a big change in strength, not to mention clothes,
rings, etc. fitting looser.
The process is intense. You go very slow with a
focus on breath and form, and you're done in about
6 exercises. No mirrors and everyone checking everyone
out. It's all about you.
I have been sending my patients with strength and
pain issues to him for rehab-type workouts. Highly

of research to find a place in SF that has medical
grade equipment and uses the super slow protocol.
This is the one and only place in SF.
My mom and my in-laws have been doing super slow
strength training and have lost weight and really
improved their physiques.

just 5 weeks ago and I have increased the amount
of weight I can do by 25% and

depending on your gaols. He has really helped my

This style of training involves circuit training
machines built specifically for the way this place
gets you fit. I enjoy the focus of just a 20 minute
workout- no music, no talking, no time for any BS-
just concentrating on a count of 1 to 10 and make
the muscles work! Slowly but surely- no high impact=
no injuries or joints squashed...
Watch out it can become addicting- Pete's genuine
positive attitude and a way of working out like I
never have before(I've hit the gyms, the concrete,

When I moved to SF, I was looking for a change from
the all-too-common gym routine and discovered super
slow lifting. Curious (and a smidge skeptical), I
dove right into this unique regime and, within a
couple of weeks, I felt and looked stronger.
Each workout is focused and intense but it only
requires about 20 minutes to run through a 7 station
circuit--which thrashes me and leaves me with much
more time to play outside. That's 20 minutes a week(!),
not the 4-5 hours a week I used to do.
Pete is consistently positive. He keeps you focused,
steadfastly tracks your progress, and educates you
along the way. And he's been flexible when I needed
that in my schedule.
If you want to get out of the gym and spend more
time in your real life, then give Pete a call and
try it yourself. You won't be disappointed.

I badly injured my back
in November 2006 and spent several months in
physical
therapy with piss-poor
results. I couldn't get a straight answer from anyone
about how to strengthen my back, and speaking with
the "trainers" at 24 fitness scared me
b/c they were so ignorant.
My parents finally browbeat me into going to this
program, since my stepdad--a doctor--does a similar
thing back in milwaukee. I've been doing it around
two months now and the results are night and day.
My back hardly ever hurts at all and I am in much
better physical condition. Pete is cool and very
supportive, and I have gone up as much as 100 pounds
on some machines since I started.
As far as a workout goes, I used to do Muay Thai
kickboxing and I can tell you, while very different,
this workout can be just as intense. As mentioned
by the other posters, it's also well worth it if
your non-refundable time is valuable to you, since
it's so quick.

Pete has got it figured out for people who want
to get the maximal affects from a workout plan but
are busy. He has a very unique set-up that helps
you push your body in a safe and controlled setting.
He's also funny, interesting and friendly which is
a plus.
